PositiveOur family's experience
The facility is clean, staff is friendly, food is as would be expected for an institution. They do have a small salad bar for lunch and dinner which is a plus, and alternate meals are available. Still not clear whether we were undercharged when my brother moved in but they added a few hundred dollars saying so. I also don't feel like my brother is getting the level of care that we're paying for. The care director, or whatever the title was, set my brother's level of care at the first level, a $500 up charge, but i…

PositiveA beautiful place to trust the care of a loved one
From our very first meeting with Edencrest it was clear that this was going to be his family. They were a tremendous help in the transition from the hospital to Edencrest. There is not enough we can say about the professionalism of the entire staff. They are all extremely friendly and caring. Lots of activities if you choose to participate. I would not want him anywhere else.

PositiveNurses are short on time
Friendliness of staff. 4 Nurses don't have time for residents or resident's family. Neither does executive director. They don't return phone calls. Meals and dining - Breakfast the best. Lunch and Dinner repetitive. Activities - Repetitive. For my Mom, the activities are too simple. Bingo all the time, crafts a kindergartner can do.

CriticalBeautiful Location, Poor Management
My mom loves the wooded views and it is beautiful! She has made some good friends here but I am so disappointed in the poor management. Management is always gone. Very poor communication. My mom said they are used to it and if they need something they ask the housekeeper to get it done. This really is unsettling to think the housekeepers is who they have to depend on.
