Mom has barely made a [date removed] there, she wound up in the hospital for almost a week. I have been gone for the holidays and will be back tomorrow. I will be creating more of a schedule to be with my mom and observe more of her adjusting to being there. So I would recommend, my of the problems seem to be my mom's dementia. I think the facility is very nice as is the staff. My mother is always dressed nice and ready for the day. My main concern is that she still will refuse meals, showers and sometimes getting …

The kind words and deeds while helping and working with a woman who is dealing with MS is reassuring for the family knowing that we have found the right home away from home for her. CriticalQuestions to ask when searching for an assisted living facility.
Ask if they give meds according to prescribed directions. For example, take with food or take on an empty stomach, take with 6 oz of water. Ask if all the nurses turn their phones off (I guess to save the battery) which means the pendant calls from residents can't register on their phones til they turn their phones on !! Yeah, it happens!!! Ask if when someone dies, the management could respectfully announce this to the other residents. These residents who have lived side by side become extended family, loved ones.…

Some of the staff members are great they get 10 stars for being so warm and caring to the residents, however some other staff members not so much. The quality of care given to the residents really depends on the individual giving the care. It is a smaller facility but the way the rooms are laid out all next to each other in a hallway is very suitable for our loved ones needs .They do have a new activities director and what activities they do offer they do it well.
