Sunrise at Bay Village review from my perspective. Co-residents are wonderful and welcoming. Food, for this type of place, is quite good. Staff for the most part is helpful and friendly. Building is kept clean. Movies (twice daily) are well chosen. Seats are wonderfully comfortable and have cup holders... a real treat. Rooms are well thought out. I am concerned about theft. Gold standard of care

Overall experience is a 4, they don't communicate much. The cleanliness is a 5, the place is new and well kept, no funky smells. Friendliness is a 5, they smile, call my mom by name, know her needs. Quality of care is probably a 5 as well, all her needs are addressed when I've called, she's taken care of from what can I can determine The staff would be hmmm 4.5, they respond when there is an issue, but only when there is a problem or I call them. Loving staff and caring administrators

My mother spent a year at Bay Village. She has dementia, and had just come off an especially difficult cancer treatment and a feeding tube. The staff did an amazing job helping her try to eat by mouth again (in the memory care side) and her health allowed her to move to the assisted living side. She made good friends and enjoyed the happy hours and playing the grand piano. The facility is beautiful and clean. Many residents have spent several years there. I'd recommend a visit to get an idea of their place, room size, get an idea of costs which depend on the client capabilities, and what rooms are available which may be limited. They only had one room available when we first started looking. 4 for amenities, food, services and staffing, but at a high cost along with additional costs based on client capabilities.

I dislike that this review can only be 1,000 characters because I have so much to say. Grateful to A place for Mom for connecting our family to Sunrise at Bay Ridge. It has provided a great solution and residence for my grandfather. He came into memory care and once he started taking his medicine again they allowed us to easily transition him to the assisted living so he could be more engaged in the community.
