Review for TerraBella Durham

They have terrible management and no communication with family members! There is huge staff turnover and terrible communication at Terra Bella Durham. Upper management is not effective in many ways and staff quit because of how they run the place.

In Transition

TerraBella is going through a time of transition which impacted the experience. Laundry and cleaning were supposed to be done weekly, and was not done as promised. Many people in staff are new and seem understaffed. Staff is nice and help when sought out, but things that should just be done as part of service did not happen. The location and the value for the money are the main reasons we decided to choose TerraBella Durham for our loved one.

I met with [name removed], who was compassionate and caring. We only talked about care in an overview kind of way. I will need to ask more questions but for now was taken really good taken care of. I really liked the space, the vibe and the friendliness of all!

Would generally recommend to others in the context of available alternatives. The aides and support staff I would give a higher rating than the administrative staff. The Special Events/Activities Director I would give a higher rating than rating to, but not the rest of the administrative personnel

TerraBella Durham

The room is large and mostly attractive. There is a nice porch with rocking chairs, although it overlooks the parking lot. Nursing staff was less than adequate. Medication was mismanaged at a crucial level. Some staff were very nice while others were extremely unprofessional. Possibly an OK place for somebody who is quite able-bodied and completely verbal and can request assistance. For those wheelchair bound or bed bound it's more difficult to get promised help.
