Surprised at how clean, bright and cheery the facility was. Very impressed with the outside activities they provide residents as well as the availability of activities inside the facility.

Our Ashton Experience

The staff is attentive, they have many activities available, the rooms are nice. Happy Hour every day at 4pm is a favorite. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly.

This facility is nice, but hallways are so long.would be nice if each room had a door to go outside, especially if you have a dog.

I had to reschedule the original appointment and this might be why they rushed me through but it felt rushed and as though I was inconveniencing them. I had a lot of questions but felt like they were glossed over. I waited for the person to walk me through for 20 min and they didn’t even introduce themselves , I had to ask their name. The facility was lovely, and apartments are decent but I just felt like my loved one was just a tenant not a person.

Review for The Ashton at Mayfield Heights

It was fine when Sue first moved in but once it was sold, it went south. There was no bus driver - couldn't find anyone or couldn't keep them, meals were not as advertised and if you wanted something other than the special, you waited an hour or they didn't have it. Dining room did not stay open as advertised either - they closed early. Lots of pasta was served - it's cheap. Staff did not stay - some left after 3 weeks of working there. They had at least 3 Exec Directors while Sue was there. The activities director

Very Concerning

The Ashton has a problem with communication, both with the resident and the family. Internally, they don't know who is doing what, whether it is the wellness people or the folks doing laundry. As far as keeping the family informed, they seem to keep everything a secret. Of course, internally, they are not aware of who is doing what, so they don't know if anyone has been in contact
