The Atrium at Cardinal Drive

Overall, I had a good experience at the Atrium. My only concern was the cost. It is a bit more expensive than most other places.

Family experience

Allison Baker was incredibly helpful through our whole experience. My mother-in-law ended up on hospice at the Atrium. I suggest making sure it is explicitly stated that there is not nursing care 24/7. When told they were able to care for hospice patients we assumed that meant her needs would be met. We ended up having to stay with her to give her pain meds and the nurses at the Atrium weren't comfortable with managing pain. We definitely would have had her go to a SNF instead. We understood that there was a 30 day…

Our family is very pleased with the Atrium. 5 for all. They are very attentive to our family member with great engagement and activities.

I was told it would cost no more than [fee removed] per month and then they tried telling me after a few months that my mom was the highest level of care. She Did Not need a hoyer lift and was an assist of 1. I loved the activities/music for her and the nursing staff was excellent but then they charged me [fee removed] in [date removed] so I needed to move my mom out of the atrium to locate a memory care that provided safety and interaction at a more reasonable cost

I'd say the facility is lovely, and the staff is compassionate and well trained. We picked this community over other places, due to Mom's care needs, all but one other place turned us down. However, The Atrium had been our first choice all along. We felt lucky to have Mom there.
