Can't say enough good things about Harmony. It was truly a blessing to have my mom there for her final moments. I only wish she had more time there when she was in better health. The entire staff was awesome and made the time she had left as pleasant as possible. Very impressive how quickly they got her transitioned into Hospice care and the level of care she received to the end. The Harmony Collection at Roanoke is very nice. Everything is so bright and clean and everyone is cheerful and friendly. There have been minor problems but once the correct person to help was found it smoothed out. The food is good and varied. I enjoy eating in the dining room. The staff is friendly and efficient. 1. There were plenty of activities for residents. However, activities director/planners could have been more enthusiastic about the activities, or at least on the couple that Mom got to participate in. Those were limited though because of her situation, so I could be missing the big picture. 2. Coordination between facility and hospice provider for care. Took way too long to get medications ordered and coordinated, not sure if facility fault or hospice fault, but slow on correcting situation. Especially in hospice…
