PositiveIt was very nice, especially for the price. The staff that i had interaction with was helpful and friendly. They also went above and beyond by offering a hospital bed. Overall, we were pleased and would recommend The Gables.

PositiveWhat the community could improve on would be mostly cleanliness including roach and rat issues. Area behind cafeteria and where trash bins are very bad. That's also the same place they have food deliveries. I do recommend the Gables but they do need to make some improvements. Staff was usually great. There is a lot of turnover with staff, especially lunchroom.

PositiveMy MIL is currently a resident and seems to like The Gables. It has a friendly, family oriented feel, and the staff goes over and beyond to make the residents feel at home. The cost is at the lower end of the scale for this area.

PositiveWhat we liked most about The Gables was the The Executive Director - he is no longer there though. We are not sure if we would recommend The Gables to other families, after he left seemed to go down

PositiveI loved the staff. They were great with my Mom and kept me updated when needed. I liked it because the living arrangements were a good size...not too compact...there were not a lot of residents so they were more personable and readily available to help if needed. The only complaint Mom had was the food. She said it was bland but she was a little spoiled. They did have some staffing issues/changes during Mom's stay which Mom didn't like but they still gave great care.
