Food needs improvement

Staff are kind, patient and caring but many seem young and inexperienced and would like her to be kept more clean. (Maybe more training needed for new staff to deal with resistance to bathing) Nursing is great. Food needs improvement.

It was a beautiful room and the facility was always nice and clean. [name removed] was well taken care of however as with any long term care facility there are always those that might struggle at doing their job without attitude. Truly the majority of the staff we met were excellent. Meals were fine also something that is to be expected that it's not Michelin star rated certainly but good enough. Overall if we had to chose to do redo this we certainly wouldn't hesitate to chose the same facility!

The staff were wonderful and helpful. The facility is beautiful and set up like family households. The activities were excellent and fun. They incorporate family in most of the activities. They have church services. The menus could be improved with a better balance with vegetables and fewer carbs.

Our families experience

Their staff are caring towards the residents and know how to care for each different resident. They offer healthy meals and do offer a list of substitutions. It is expensive, but we would recommend The Ganzhorn Suites to other families who may need a place for their loved ones.

Caring Home for Mom

Ganzhorn has been our mother’s home for awhile, and has become part of our extended family. The staff knows each resident-their likes, dislikes, smile buttons, and the friendships between residents. Ganzhorn holds weekly Happy Hours with live music, which are very popular family gatherings, as well as pet therapy sessions, art sessions, and other activities. The living space is open, sunny, inviting, and has access to a garden for soaking up sun and fresh air. This has been a wonderful, caring, safe home for Mom.
