Positive

Highly recommend. Knowledgeable and caring staff

Very knowledgeable staff with years of history with the residents. Newly acquired by a new company which created some minor issues which either have been resolved or are being resolved. I would recommend.

[name removed] was very thorough in her explanation of the amenities available to residents. She carefully explained the costs and next steps. She addressed our mother much of the time when discussing the community which was greatly appreciated. Lots of paperwork which is to be expected, but she patiently explained what was required.

Overall nice community. Staff are competent and caring.

Overall the caregivers are kind and compassionate. Evening/night shifts are often more rushed - caregivers having many patients to shower for example. Nurses are excellent and have responded to [name removed] needs. [name removed]is beginning to find the meals less interesting. He cannot eat red meat which changes his choices. They do try to accommodate his dietary needs. Last month there were printed menus to pick up so I could decide when to join him but they haven't been available for a couple weeks. So far the

Serious Medicine management issues

My mother has lived at Canterfield for 3½ years and she is in assisted living with Canterfield providing complete management of medicines for additional fee of $XXX [amount removed] a month.. We have had serious problems, repeatedly, with them NOT giving her needed medications. Blood thinners were just not given and blaming it on the pharmacy not getting them any refills and no one ever followed up. Another time, desperately needed glaucoma Rx eyedrops had not been refilled nor given for MONTHS resulting in permane

Canterfield of Oak Ridge - A Place for Everyone

I had a few issues with their care services. They told me they were going to change his prescription because; they had him on a bunch of anti-psychotics and it took them 6 months and they're just now starting to check it out. So they didn't follow through with it. My dad couldn't walk because they didn't cut his toe nails. I know insurance only covers for it to be done once every four months. I told them I'd pay for that, so that he can walk. He complains about pain in his feet and it seemed like a simple fix. They
