Not Recommended if you love your loved one

This place is wonderful if your loved one needs bare minimum help. They are understaffed and they provide poor training. My father was having issues adjusting and the only doctor or nurse visit he received was over the phone. It just got worse from there. We had to move out because their staff couldn't handle him. They raised his care level drastically after one month. They overmedicated him to zombie status. To add insult to injury, they overbilled us on the last month. Excellent staff

The staff is very friendly and right there to help out. They were very concerned about my husband because he wasn't eating and was vomiting so they would check on him a lot during the night. He has been put on hospice at their suggestion.

My father's experience

The activities are many and there are many people who come in and play instruments and sing. The food is good and snacks are provided every afternoon. Only complaint is I had to ask that the room be cleaned a few times. They don't force residents to do anything they don't want to do but my family member needed to be encouraged to participate - Don't ask him or he just says no.

It is very clean, well staffed, the resident look well cared for. Residents do activities and spend time outside. Lots of smiles.

The staff not only helped my father, but our family navigate a very challenging, unpredictable and frightening disease

The staff was always patient and loving with our father, even though he had periods of anxiety and aggression with his dementia. They always seemed to be able to get him calmed down and relaxed during these times. He did not know who we were, however, we had terrific visits with him, filled with “interesting” conversations and a lot of laughter. Overall: I am very pleased with The Reserve in Oswego, the staff is wonderful, the facility is lovely and my mom is very well cared for. Cleanliness: the entire facility is clean and nicely and safely decorated. Friendliness: every staff member is friendly , kind to my mom and very helpful. Quality of care: this facility has a great staff to patient ratio, nursing 24/7 and a patient forward schedule.
