CriticalThe Residences at Park Place
The reason for low scores is the fact that despite requiring her name be on EVERYTHING. They lost a brand new complete set of bed pillows in the first week, several pairs of shoes, a throw, and we had to paint her name ALL OVER her walker so that they would stop others from taking it. She was there for three months only and didn't get a complete set of bedsheets (out of 2 sets!) back. They "lost" those too. As well as towels, washcloths and bedroom slippers and specialty lotions that we actually hid in her room.

It was really a special place. They took great care of my husband and the rest of the residents. I enjoyed visiting. The food was ok. Not extra special but all else above and beyond. I would highly recommend the facility.

While the nurses were good and caring, I think they were understaffed. The whole place gave a great sales pitch but never lived up to the promises made. Room was always somewhat dirty. Trashcan were always missing and we never got them back. Random bath products, pillows, clothes, etc. would appear in mom's room. If asked, sometimes there was a reason but usually the response was a shrug. For the first several weeks we struggled with mom having her walker. They kept giving it to other residents. Very happy with the staff and facility. They do the laundry and keep the rooms picked up for the residents. Hair salon on site. Variety of activities. Love their activity director. Manage medications well. Communicate well. Love sitting with the residents up front. Great place.
