PositiveHIGH FIVE
I love the look and feel of the building, consonant with its age and style. My light-filled apartment has high ceilings and big windows, a full kitchen, and its own furnace, air conditioning and washer/dryer. The Rockwood routinely invites prospective residents to dinner, and current residents' families often join them for Sunday brunch; our brilliant chef's meals are that good! Add a convenient walkable neighborhood and the love showered upon my little dog, and I am happy indeed to have come home to the Rockwood.

5 for 1-7, and while I think it's expensive my mom is well taken care of and is pleased that she ended up at The Rockwood. The staff makes for a very friendly and welcoming environment. They make the effort to interact with all residents and provide various activity options during the month. Movie nights, groups trips out, exercise class and I'm sure many others. Eight weeks in, I am loving my new home at the Rockwood and growing more comfortable and relaxed. Location is perfect for me -- great walkable neighborhood. It was a local move for me, and I am able to continue much of my pre-Rockwood life uninterrupted. The staff is small and caring, and the size of the lovely historic building and of the resident population makes individual attention easy to come by. I feel many of these places are overpriced. However my mother is happy, comfortable and the Rockwood has provided her with a sense of community so that makes it worth the $.

The staff at The Rockwood are wonderful and for a small facility the activities are varied and fun. The chef is very good and tries new things. It is not a cheap facility and annual cost increases are something to watch. I strongly recommend The Rockwood to others.
