We also understand that memory impairment affects more than just the people who have it; it affects families and loved ones, so it is our mission to be a compassionate, empathetic, and professional resource for all that we serve. The decision to transition to a memory care community is made peaceful when prospective residents and their families trust in us. We believe that life should continue to be rewarding no matter what stage anyone is in — so, we provide essential and exciting amenities across lovely spaces with staff that truly cares for the overall well-being of the individual resident. Community Amenities and Services North Woods offers the best of both worlds when it comes to safety and a fulfilling lifestyle. We aim to cultivate an atmosphere enriched with vibrant moments every day. Residents are free to enjoy the memory care courtyard surrounding our community, with beautiful landscaping, raised flower and vegetable gardens, a gazebo, walking path, and shaded seating area. We provide three delicious, healthy meals daily, as well as a growing list of amenities that residents benefit wholly from. For example, our Life Stations — a resident experience which allows one to relive treasured memories from the past. Our day spa and salon is another resident favorite, where all can refresh before an evening spent around our country kitchen, community lounges, and game rooms. Or, simply relax yourself after a rejuvenating Sunday service within the pews of our on-site chapel. The choice is always yours, here at North Woods Village. To ensure the dignity and independence of each resident, we’ve established a signature memory care program called NEW DIRECTIONS — personalized care for every resident. We understand that every person has a unique history and journey, which is why we often reflect on your unique needs in order to best care for you. Living Arrangements We currently have private and semi-private units available for prospective residents. All of our units feature motion sensors to notify staff of resident activity, so we can help to always support your preferred routines. Unit design features include low lighting and memory boxes to help residents clearly identify their individual suites. Emergency call systems are also equipped to alert staff of any time-sensitive needs.
