PositiveSo far I would give all 5s. We have been very impressed so far.she has only been there one month but all good so far. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Anything we have needed they have been there to help. We also got off the waitlist for a bigger unit quicker than expected and they have been great with the transition, etc.

CriticalIt's best to be very hands on if people need support in the community. Many things go unattended unless family is engaged. I would recommend, for a nice environment with fine support but better if the family is available to be asking questions and ensuring follow through.

We appreciate your honesty and understand how important consistent communication and follow-through are for families. Your input helps us strengthen our care and service, ensuring residents and their loved ones feel fully supported. PositiveThe staff is exemplary. Evanston it self is a vibrant, diverse community and our building is located two blocks from downtown. Transit to Chicago by either CTA or the commuter rail line called Metra is three blocks away. The meals are varied and you pick from a different menu each day. Finally, our fellow residents are very accomplished individuals with a wide array of accomplishments.
Response from the communityThank you for your thoughtful review! We're so glad to hear that you're enjoying Trulee Evanston’s vibrant location, convenient access to transit, and the diverse, accomplished community around you. It’s especially heartening to know our team and dining options are meeting your expectations. We're proud to be part of such a dynamic and welcoming environment—thank you for being a part of it!

PositiveWe are still having financial issues with reimbursement after my parent has been dead for 11 months. The business office is in complete disarray. Kind and caring, attentive, and really got to know my father even though he was only there 3 months
Response from the communityThank you for your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear about the challenges you've experienced with the reimbursement process. Please reach out directly to our Executive Director, Michael Amici, at (847) 960-5555, so we can work toward resolving this issue as quickly as possible. Your experience matters, and we appreciate the opportunity to make things right.

PositiveI think staff overall are good, but stretched thin which is everywhere. Very attractive facility. Love that dining is open for residents from 7am - 7pm -- avoids a rush. Administrators are slow to respond which creates angst.
Response from the communityThank you for taking the time to share this thoughtful feedback. We’re glad to hear you appreciate our team, the community’s appearance, and the flexibility of our dining hours. We also take your concerns about response times seriously. Your feedback is important and will be shared with our team as we continue working to improve communication and support for residents and families.

PositiveMoved mother-in-law in January. Staff are friendly on the surface. Not sure if we asked more questions than others, but we found slow responses and/or conflicting information from a range of staff. She's been in for 1 month. During this time, Trulee had an unfortunate stubborn GI virus that had the facility in lockdown for a couple of weeks. Mother-in-law also transitioned from independent to assisted living (we anticipated this switch - yet did not think it would happen within the first 2 weeks). Many moving parts…
Response from the communityThank you for sharing your experience at Trulee Evanston. We understand that transitioning a loved one into senior living community can come with many challenges, and we appreciate your patience during what was a stressful period with the GI virus. Your feedback is valuable, and we are always working to improve our responsiveness and clarity. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if there’s anything we can do to better support your mother-in-law and your family. We’re here to help.
