PositiveThe place is always very clean. A few things... we wanted to celebrate Mother's Day there at TP (12 of us). They set up a small room for us (we brought in our own food) complete with a long table and chairs, plates and silverware. It worked great. No charge. The other thing that happened was that my MIL fell in her apt, breaking her leg. She had the emergency buzzer necklace on and squeezed it. The maintenance guy was the first to quickly show up and call 911 for her. She was in the hospital and then Rehab for c…

PositiveNegatives: The 'Welcome' procedure for moving in was lacking. No one gave us specific 'this is what happens on move in day'. TP did not explain the auto withdrawal set up for monthly payment until it was actually due. My MIL says the food is rarely good. That being said, she is Italian and a very good cook, so her standards are very high. Positives: the place is very clean and well kept. My MIL says everyone is very friendly. She is receiving PT and says it's so nice.. the PT comes to her door twice a week and t…

PositiveThe food is excellent and if you aren’t wild about the menus, you can order a hamburger, pizza or a speciality sandwich. There is no need to bring a vacuum: housekeeping once a week to take care of that. They will change the sheets of your bed and do light dusting. Mopping the “kitchen” floor and bathroom floor is automatic. Overall, very friendly staff and neighbors!

PositiveI have found a welcoming home at Tuckahoe Pines from the very first day I came to see the place. Most of our socializing is done during meal times, plenty of laughter and smiles. Our social director is terrific. She plans many interesting and sometimes unusual activities. We have games in the lounge almost every day, there's the Chuck Cain Pool Hall, a library, a theater (movies every night), a gym with exercise classes. We have many hall walkers, too. Both residents and staff are gracious and kind. I love it here…

PositiveAll 5 except possibly food (4) The food is generally good, but wish they had more choices available. Overall excellent facility staff are wonderful, friendly and extremely helpful and accommodating. The residents are all friendly and very inviting especially to new comers. We find the staff all very attentive and friendly. Will go out of their way to help in any way.
