Review for Village at Maiden Park

I feel that her needs were not met as a Dementia patient. The Nurses were fine but the staff does not know how to care for people with memory care and she was in a memory care unit! She was in the hospital more than she was in the home and when she was in the home she had 2 incidents claiming she "fell" her injuries include: broken arm from first fall. Second fall fractured shoulder, ribs and broken hip. She needed surgery for the hip. Not enough staff on weekends or lack of good staff. On a positive note the staff

HIGHLY RECOMMEND Village at Maiden Park

They are a true 5 stars. I would give them a 100 if I could. Staff, from top administrators to volunteers, all have been great. No one has ever given us any issues and are always ready to help. It is a very clean senior living facility. There is always someone walking around and picking up. There are a variety of room types- assisted and enhanced, private or semi private, small, medium and large living areas. It is a comforting feeling to know your loved one is being well cared for, as you would care for them

Highly Recommend

We had to find care for my sister with dementia and cancer when her husband who is her care giver became very ill and rushed to hospital.. He can no longer care for her. The Village at Maid en Park came thru with full admission in a hurry. They worked tirelessly and went above and beyond to make it happen! The place is wonderful and she is getting excellent care!

Review for Village at Maiden Park

My dad complains about overcooked food every day and doesn't like their coffee. Found out it's Folgers. Dad had a simple and bland diet before and more so now. Would take his complaints with some skepticism. Nursing staff readily available but lacks follow through. Dad has lost 6 lbs in last 30 days said they would contact PCP for Ensure 5 days ago still not. [removed name] runs the place he's available I've met with him several times and exchanged emails. Puts out surveys for input.

Response from the community

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We truly appreciate hearing from families. We’re sorry to hear about your dad’s concerns regarding the food and coffee, as well as the weight loss and delay in follow-up about nutritional supplementation. That is not the level of responsiveness we strive for, and we will review this with our nursing and dining teams to ensure appropriate action is taken. We’re glad you’ve been able to connect with leadership, and we remain committed to open communication. Please feel free to reach out directly so we can work together to best support your dad’s health and comfort.

A Fly on the wall

Room change with out notification plus [removed] +more a month, food very little. And cold no water on table ask for two hamburgers did not get dinner. For enhanced living staff did not engage with family member. I was there most days and only once did staff enter to empty garbage. Not shown where snacks were, advertised many activities, and three chefs. They did not have a microwave to heat food or get hot beverages. Shown table set up like restaurant and brought up 3 chefs. Family member left without permission.

Response from the community

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We sincerely apologize for what you have experienced and would welcome discussing this further if you would like to reach out.
