As you step through the main entrance into our lobby, you’re greeted by rich hardwood floors, supple leather furniture, and a large stone fireplace. We carry out the same decor style throughout the building giving the interior a distinctly Texas feel that’s both comforting and welcoming. Our community is tucked away in the small, quiet city of Granbury, Texas. Conveniently located, we’re just a short drive from all the small town pleasantries and located directly off the coast of Brazos River. We’re proud to serve the residents of such a tight knit, caring community like Granbury. Community Amenities and Services We consistently offer a diverse roster of activities to compliment our phenomenal amenities. You can spend an afternoon exploring our cozy library and reading by the fire, or joining in for a rousing game of bean bag baseball in the common room. For those that like to venture out, our lifestyle director schedules routine outings to explore all that Granbury has to offer. Whether it's taking a trip to the Granbury Opera House for live performances or grabbing a bite to eat during a day of shopping, we’re positive there’s no shortage of fun here at Waterview. Our goal is to provide residents with the support they need to maintain their active, independent lifestyle and help limit some of the stresses that come with maintaining a home. Residents enjoy chef-prepared meals and restaurant style dining at any time, routine housekeeping, and assistance with grocery shopping and errands. We coordinate routine visits with local podiatrists as well as massage and physical therapists to help keep residents feeling their best. Living Arrangements The luxury and fine craftsmanship you come to know and love in the Waterview community is carried out perfectly in our independent living apartments. Residents can choose from three floor plans: two one-bedroom options or a two-bedroom. Each apartment comes with a fully equipped kitchen, ample storage space, in-unit washer and dryer, and a darling patio space. The bedrooms and living rooms are very spacious. As a pet friendly community, there’s even plenty of room for your four-legged friends. We have no doubt you’ll feel right at home here at Waterview. State Classification Waterview Independent Living at The Point is a Type B assisted living facility . In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows: Assisted Living Facility A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities: Type A: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted. Type B: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair. Type C (Adult Foster Care): Four-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program. The facility provides supervision and personal care services to residents.
