Does your loved one need a lot of help? This is a decent place

Out of five facilities were my mom lived, white pine was the best. This is not to say there weren't issues. - food was horrible. Very rarely edible. - staff was 60/40 good. 60% cared and wanted to help. 40% were too busy or otherwise occupied to help. (This is much better than at other facilities) A few staff were simply outstanding (again many more than other facilities) - apartment was good. Nice space. Quick(ish) repairs or maintenance. - management is good. Director of the facility cares and takes action. D…

85 and no A/C

A/C doesn't work. Thermostat says change batteries. I do it myself. Still no go. Tell the guy sitting playing catch with his ball(s) in the office. He tells me to track down the maintenance guy (who is gone for the day. I can barely walk but he's too busy to do it.

Good

My family member is happy there. She says they treat her good. She seems to be happy with the food. The only thing is she wants pop, and they don't supply pop. The facility itself is fine, and a lot better than where she was before. She's enjoys Bingo there. All these places are expensive, but the cost seems fair overall, especially compared to the last place.

My brother has lived here for 18 months. As you enter there is a fireplace. Apartments are nice and have roomy bathrooms and closets. Each apartment has a washer and dryer, etc. Food is good. As a quadriplegic, my brother pays more because of cares needed. Despite some turnover, care has been good to excellent. Staff are warm and friendly. They are willing to add staff if we need to leave early for a doctor appointment. There are no church services, but a Bible Study is available once a week. He chooses not to part…

My father has been here for a few years and the quality of care has gone down tremendously. The turnover is so high and we have seen six house managers come through here. The current manager is not friendly at all and not very helpful when asked a question by myself, my father or another family member. I have also witnessed her being very rude to her employee's. My husband was only at this community for about a week before I had to remove him because he did not receive the quality of care I was hoping for from the staff. The nurses had told us they could take care of his medical needs no problem and that was not the case at all after we moved in. They did not listen to what I had told them to do at all and it put my husband back in the hospital with the lack of attention to detail they had.
