PositiveI toured Whitlock Place in anticipation of having my husband go there after his rehab at a nursing home. I reserved a nice studio room. Whitlock Place is a very clean place with nice decor, lots of sunlight. Talking with [name removed] was a very good experience. She and a regional nursing director visited my husband at the rehab to assess his needs. [name removed] also came by herself another time. PositiveA Great Move for Mom and Dad
Based on the overall experience in the last year for my parents I would give Whitlock Place a 4. The staff takes excellent care of my parents (both of whom had a rough go health wise this past February) )but I do feel improvements need to be made in the facility itself. There seems to be a very high turnover with nursing staff and food services. Food is subpar according to my parents. However, the pros outweigh the cons and they say they are happy there. For the value for money I can't answer this one. Elder care is expensive, too expensive. The staff is kind and considerate, respectful, caring. The residents are a true community, they look out for one another. Menus/food needs improvement. Hiring more staff and increase their wages
