Living Options and Amenities In our large, open concept home, we offer private and shared rooms. Some rooms even come with private baths. Wheelchair accessible showers and walk-in jacuzzi tubs are also available. Rooms are open and light, with non-slip flooring, crown molding, and plenty of windows to compliment the space. Each room has plenty of space for a full-size bed, dresser, table, and sitting area. We have heating and air conditioning for the comfort and safety of all residents, and ceiling fans throughout most living spaces. Rooms are also cable-ready if you wish to have a TV in your living space. Dining Amenities AAA is happy to have a professional chef on staff. We serve three home-cooked meals daily in our welcoming dining room, and offer snacks as well. Our chef works to create nutritious meals using fresh and local produce to optimize the health of all our residents. Each resident’s preferences and dietary needs are taken into account, such as vegetarian requirements, for example. Common Areas Common areas in this open-concept home are bright and airy, with Tuscan-style details, vaulted ceilings, and beautiful cherry-wood beams. Gather around our wide hearth fireplace on a crisp night and relax with friends. Take in some warmth while you relax in our massage chair in the sunroom. Our main living room area features homey decor and is complete with a large-screen TV and a piano, and is surrounded by cozy couches with seating for many. We also have a large activities room where we invite friends to partake in games of all kinds. Our outdoor common areas are just as charming, with our extensive grounds full of walkways, manicured lawns, gardens, and a beautifully ornate double-roofed gazebo. The backyard has a patio area with a round stone fire-pit surrounded by chairs for everyone to gather and enjoy the perfect California weather. This lovely scene overlooks country vineyards with the dreamy San Rafael Mountains just off the horizon. We even have several raised gardening beds for our residents to use. Our grounds and location will surely inspire serenity. Activities Our caring staff works to keep everyone entertained with plenty of options for activities and entertainment. We aim to create schedules of both on- and off-site experiences for all to enjoy. In our activities area you will often find us doing crafts like painting, knitting, and coloring; working on puzzles, and playing board games. We love to celebrate birthday and holiday parties together, and tea parties are another favorite pastime among our residents. We also have regularly-scheduled musical performances for everyone’s enjoyment. Some of our outdoor activities include garden parties, picnics, and campfires, where we love roasting marshmallows over our firepit. Entertaining social, recreational, and educational experiences are also planned off-site for residents who would like to participate in such. Physical activities are just as important in our home, and so we offer various senior exercise and stretching classes to promote the health of our residents. We have a dedicated space for fitness classes that is safe and big enough for everyone. At AAA we understand that each of our residents has distinct life experiences and various interests, and we aim to take everyones’ individuality into account when planning our activities. Personal Services There are a host of personal services provided at our community to free your hands and your schedule from daily chores. We offer housekeeping and laundry services to all of our residents, and transportation is available for off-site adventures, shopping trips, or medical appointments. We also have resident parking at our community for those who have their own vehicle. Beautician and barber services are offered on location, so residents can always remain looking their personal best. Our community also hosts devotional services on-site for our religious or spiritual residents. Local Area The country setting of AAA allows for a peaceful environment, yet we are not far from the city amenities of Santa Maria. We are only a few short miles from a number of amazing restaurants and several shopping centers, including Santa Maria Plaza and numerous large chains. A short distance from the city is the majestic natural landscape of the Los Padres National Forest and its serene walking trails. If you fancy yourself a wine connoisseur, you will love to hear that several world-class wineries, featuring tastings, events, and tours, are just down the road. For any medical needs, The Marian Regional Medical Center is open 24 hours a day and located less than 3 miles away in Santa Maria. Several hotels are also within a few miles of the area, perfect for visiting relatives or friends. Medical Services AAA employs highly-specialized and trained staff members throughout the day to respond to any resident’s care needs. Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) is provided to all residents who need assistance with eating, grooming, bathing, toileting, or medicating. We offer medication administration and support to help all residents follow treatment plans accordingly. Coordination assistance and transportation services are provided for doctor’s appointments and trips to medical specialists. Respite care is offered for those who are in need of short-term care or wish to experience a senior living “trial period.” Our staff is specially trained to respond to any issues relating to Alzheimer’s and dementia, and our grounds are secured with a closed and locked perimeter to discourage wandering behaviors and ensure the safety of our residents. You or your loved one can rest assured that we will provide everything needed in terms of proper medical care, treatment plans, and a qualified staff presence.
