PositiveThe people who live there are very nice. Yes, I would recommend the community to others.
★★★★★
PositiveMy mom loves living here! They have scheduled activities throughout the day and they also host events for the outside community. Caretakers have been there for a really long time and they know the residents by name. The food is amazing!! I frequently eat dinner with my mom and love it. They are given two options for every meal and also get snacks. This is a great place for your loved one to live if you want to be treated like family and have a lot of things to do.

CriticalUnfortunately, lately we have had problems with the facility not communicating problems. Like my father falling, he now has bed bugs and they have not removed him from his room. They are make him stay in his room with the bed bugs, but took all of his clothes and bedding, but left him in there with no clothes or blankets. This has been going on for 2 weeks and they never informed us. My sister's and I are in the process of filing complaints with the State. I'm sorry, I cannot say anything good about this place anym…

PositiveLooking at places for my Mom and decided to stop by Abode Care. I was greeted by a friendly face which was nice. I then asked for the Director and meet the Executive Director who put all my fears to rest. I would only trust my Mom to stay at Abode Care of Allentown because of this compassionate human!
★★★★★
CriticalOur experience with Abode of Allentown had many positive aspects. The director was responsive and communicative, and the staff we interacted with were friendly and compassionate in their day-to-day care of my mom. The nurses seemed both skilled and caring. Transportation was relatively easy to schedule for outside appointments and the driver was great with residents. My mom did experience several falls from bed, even with regular check ins and a bed alarm. Given that the facility is unable to authorize bed assists…
