ADL Assisted Living is family owned and operated by a registered occupational therapist, who oversees all care services with their experienced oversight. The small size of the community allows for a high caregiver-to-resident ratio, allowing our staff to attend to the individual needs of each resident without intruding on their independence. Community Amenities and Services Our friendly and professional staff is available around the clock for assisted living services. Every staff member is specially trained in dementia management and fall prevention strategies, so you can feel at ease knowing your loved one is in good hands. We also offer a variety of medical services, such as medication management and incontinence care, among other services. Visiting podiatrists and physicians visit on a consistent basis to help ensure that residents’ care plan is up to date. With cooking, housekeeping, and laundry services all taken care of, you can focus on filling your days with our vast array of scheduled activities. In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows: Assisted Living Facility A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities: Type A: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted. Type B: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair. Type C (Adult Foster Care): 4-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program. The facility provides supervision and personal care services to residents.
