About Allen Place

Allen Place is a senior living community in Atlantic Iowa near the Nishna Hills Golf Club. Our community has a wonderful view of the lush green rolling hills but we are close enough to town for frequent outings to restaurants, shopping and our local farmers market. We also take regular visits to the local casino, zoo and Lake Anita State Park.

Caring

Choose this facility because it was a little smaller. My folks lived on a farm and then small town so a larger facility would be overwhelming. I think they try really hard but are short staffed like everywhere

Allen Place is a good fit for my folks

The staff at Allen Place have been very friendly and respectful to my parents. Carts were available for the move in process. My parents said that the food is very good. I have heard no complaints from my parents. Allen Place was a good fit for my dad who likes to walk, being able to walk indoors on a level surface. Other places that we toured had more amenities, however for a retired couple this facility met all of their needs and several of their wants. More probably would have been overwhelming to them. WOW WOW WOW!

Everyone on the Staff is absolutely wonderful! Amazing that everyone regardless of job title pitches in to serve meals, respond to residents request, manage the front door, respond to emergencies, help new residents get situated, get residents involved in activities etc. My in-laws are thriving! Interaction with staff and residents thru group activities have been SO beneficial. Thanks to everyone involved in meals which I experienced 1st hand and are always top notch!

Great place

The staff at Allen Place does a great job keeping the community clean and they are all very friendly and accommodating for the needs of my loved one. The community is definitely worth the price tag for the level of care that the residents are receiving. The care is excellent. The staff put on a lot of great activities for the residents and the food is excellent.

Our family is grateful for embracing our father.

My father stayed at Allen Place until his final days in this world. I cannot say enough good about the facility. My father felt loved and needed the day he arrived. He finally called it his home after moving off the farm and being in another facility for three years. He truly loved living there. The staff was amazing and caring. My family is eternally grateful for loving and embracing our father when he could no longer live alone. Thank you Allen Place!
