CountryHouse in Council Bluffs was designed and is staffed specifically to benefit individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia. From our many years of experience working with those needing memory care and their families, we know that consistency, security, comfort and a sense of well-being are some of the most important needs to be met. That sounds a lot like home – and that’s why treating people like family is at the core of what we do at CountryHouse. This isn’t a “typical” memory care community. Just walk in the doors and you’ll understand why. You’ll experience dancing, music, crafts and family members of all ages gathered around to visit. You’ll hear laughter and see smiles, as residents return from a daily adventure out on the town. You’ll see gentle direction from patient caregivers, a soothing environment and a loving atmosphere. You’ll notice residents moving freely about, exploring, chatting, or perhaps enjoying the sun in the beautiful backyard. Most of all, you'll feel a sense of warmth and family. This is an active, joyful community where staff and residents have close, caring relationships, where residents are comfortable, safe and secure and where families can enjoy their time visiting together. Wonderful meals, clean environment

Facility was kept very clean. Food was outstanding. If nurse that worked in 2025 has left, I would recommend. If she is still there, I would never recommend. She never even bothered to come to my mother's room when she was having a stroke nor internally bleeding and manager was aware of the situation.

Disappointed in nursing care, but great food

I was disappointed in the lack of quality nursing care. Felt the nurse was derelict in performing her duties. The facility is a beautiful building and the food is GREAT!!! The chief takes great care in presentation and taste.

Our family's experience

In the year and a half my mom has been there, there have been 2 directors and going on their 3rd nurse. I would like to see more activities after regular hours and on weekends. It is very expensive.

Amazing/Grateful

I truly believe that if we hadn't found Country House for my mom, she wouldn't be with us anymore. The prior facility she was living in didn't give her the attention and care she needed and I honestly believe she was given up. Her attitude and her overall daily function has shown a complete 360* turnaround in what she showed before. I can't express enough how appreciative we are to everyone at Country House.
