A reassuring experience.

The director discussed the emotional and mental needs of someone with dementia. She stated that the supervision and interaction with the staff is dependent on the individual patient's level. This was never addressed in the memory care area of the assisted living facility where she lived initially.

Love and Care for Mom at Apple Grove

They are so great and were a blessing in my moms care there. The entire staff was amazing! Had a ton of activities for the residents and the dining was great. [name removed] is so amazing and made everything for us there wonderful experience.[name removed] the director of nursing deeply cares for everyone there and is so helpful to the families.

Would Not Recommend

I rate Apple Grove a 2. It was not at all what we were told. The washing of clothes is NOT done on a regular basis and clothes, sheets, and towels went missing. We were told they had a chef on duty there. That was NOT chef inspired food. It was awful and they were served such small portions that my mother was hungry after eating dinner. They also stuck her in her room too often. They do not have enough staff. The staff acts like they can't wait until the day is over. They only smile if they know we're watching them…
