This gorgeous Georgian-style architecture mansion in a Memphis suburb has everything seniors need under one roof. Germantown, Tennessee, has a rich history and plenty to offer, with its old railroad depots, Old Germantown neighborhood, and horse shows. Germantown Plantation offers month-to-month rental on apartments appropriate for both independent and assisted living. Germantown Plantation’s staff do their best to make the home a place that community members look forward to coming back to. The home has multiple floor plans of private apartments, with full kitchens, bedrooms, living areas, and plenty of closet space. Community members can enjoy the home’s many amenities, including the indoor heated pool and jacuzzi, 50-seat movie theater, arts and crafts room, fitness center, game room, and a chapel that offers services from many denominations. The staff chef prepares three delicious artisanal meals daily. Each resident is provided with an emergency call pendant to summon a licensed nurse to their aid at any time, day or night. Community members can enjoy as much independence as they’d like, while still receiving health care and support on site, including diabetic care, incontinence support, ambulatory care, medication management, and more. The home contains a hair salon and barber shop and a country store for residents’ convenience. Cats and dogs are welcome. Not the newest facility but one of the most efficient and best managed I could have possibly imagined. Snow and ice everywhere except here where all paved streets and sidewalks have been cleared for two days. Staff is friendly, polite, helpful, and trustworthy. Food is good to great and I am a picky eater to say the least. My wife and I feel like we made the best choice in this most important decision. We are happy here!

We initially moved mom into the more independent side of the facility. Mom took a sharp decline about 2 weeks after she moved in. Germantown Plantation starting offering more services and the minute an apartment opened up they moved very fast to get it painted and cleaned for her to move to the fully assisted living side.
