My family member is suffering from later-stage dementia, but he's fully mobile. The staff at Brookdale seems very understanding, and provide [name removed] with recreational and spiritual support. It's a small facility (20 beds), and most of the staff is long-tenured. With the couple of snapshot views we've had (we've spent a couple of hours there on each visit), the staff seems to be fully engaged, and knows each patient pretty well. Would recommend but needs improvement

They could improve on better communication with the family and better able to care for residents with advanced dementia. She was not tended to sometimes due to lack of staff administering meds to calm the resident to do diaper changes and showers. She went 2 weeks without a shower.

super helpful resource

We were in urgent need of getting assistance for my father-in-law. A place for mom was super helpful and very quick and identifying a couple locations for us to seek. We called both places and were able to set up tours within a couple days. Brookdale Brookfield memory care was very amenable as we had complications trying to get in from our side and they did everything they could and went above and beyond to make sure they were available for us during a very trying time. Personal care by staff and administration

Both the staff and administrative staff make sure my husband is cared for in all areas - physical, mental and social. They constantly encourage participation in all activities. It's more than a verbal encouragement.

My brother was the one who had a virtual tour with Brookdale. He liked the facility but just not as much as the one that he was able to see in person.
