The food is excellent. Most of the time, they do have lots of activities including some outside excursions once a week. Staff is usually on top of things and very helpful and very friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone who needed assisted living or nursing care.

The overall experience gets a 3 because of the hidden costs and the care services gets a 4 because they need to hire more people. They need more staffing. Everyone is nice just not enough of them, however we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience so far

I feel most of the money that is paid goes to administrative costs not for the resident. Also I was disappointed that residents in the memory care unit weren't taken outside on pleasant days. Not enough stimulation. Instead of putting residents in front of the TV there has to be activities for them to participate in. At times I just felt they were being tolerated instead of being encouraged to try things.

Brookdale on Wenger Rd.is a wonderful place. It is well-run with experienced staff. My husband is in the dementia unit, the staff there is very caring and attentive. The patient - staff ratio is low with highly personalized care. I would definately recommend the care at Brookdale Englewood.
