Here, residents receive personalized care plans and assistance with chronic conditions, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, and more. Plus, all apartment homes are easy to navigate and include soothing color schemes to help residents feel at ease. To help ensure residents’ safety, the staff is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to be alerted to an emergency situation, and an alert system is also in place to provide additional peace of mind. Aside from providing around-the-clock care, the staff manages meal preparation, housekeeping, transportation, and home maintenance. Concierge services are also available. Living Arrangements Prospective residents can choose from four private or semi-private apartment options to find a layout that fits their needs. In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows: Assisted Living Facility A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities: Type A: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted. Type B: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair. Type C (Adult Foster Care): Four-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program.
