Brookdale Hollywood Park

Our experience

The facility is nice. Mom had adjusted well, made new friends and is enjoying her time. However the staff is failing to hold up their end of the bargain. They are too short staffed to do what they are supposed to do. I have had to bring up not getting her meds on time several times. No one helps her dress or makes her bed regularly. The meals are great but they just don't have an appropriate staff. For the price she's paying. I would recommend the facility. All other communities were much more expensive.

Good Care, Terrible Accounting

The staff and care were good, food was good. We had a terrible experience with their accounting department. We paid start up fees and first month in full, then everything went sideways. They applied someone else's payment to my mother's account, as a result we didn't get billed. The next month, in addition to the billing correction, 3 months worth of "cost of care charges" were added, resulting in an overdrawn account. Their "cost of care" billing changed every month, so we never had a consistent bill during her en…
