Many much older female residents (over age 95). Very easy to take care of so my younger brother (age 67) was too much effort. Quickly sent off to geriatric psych ward twice. My brother slept at Brookdale for only 2 nights, but Brookdale took 'rent' for 3 months and does not want to refund any. Told me on [Date Removed] that my brother was not welcome back, then on [Date Removed] still withdrew a full month of rent.

The activities director is amazing. She engages the residents and truly cares. The CNAs also do a great job. However, the nursing directors are not good. They are very dismissive to towards the residents and families.

CriticalBitter Times at Brookdale
My father fell the very first night he was there. He was on a soft food diet initially, which Brookdale said they could accommodate. Instead of preparing typical soft foods (ie: soup, potatoes, applesauce, eggs, smoothies, etc), they would puree whatever everyone else was eating and serve it to him. Pureed salisbury steak does not look appetizing at all. Brookdale told us that there would be a visiting podiatrist that would see my dad. The podiatrist NEVER saw visited my dad and there was always an excuse as to wh…
