PositiveOur Family's Experience
Overall experience is very positive. The initial meetings and showings were fantastic. Registering my mom was also great. Staff was incredibly helpful in finding a space and pricing that worked for our budget. While, the total experience of Columbus Estates has been 5-star, the only challenge I continually face is reaching someone in the billing dept. She never seems to be available and that gets frustrating. My bill is rarely the same amount each month by about $[removed].

Pros: The grounds are well-kept. The staff is responsive. The staff is friendly Cons: The food is mediocre. The activities need more creative options. The safety in the outer units needs to be improved...higher fencing, for example, to keep out the homeless. Also need better window coverage to prevent people looking right in.

Critical#1 IT WAS A VERY LONG WALK FROM OUR ROOM TO THE DINING AREA. THREE TIMES A DAY GOT to be too much. #2. Sandwiches for dinner too many days a week. #3. Tables were sticky most of the time and food remained uncleaned under the tables. #4 neighbors dogs in the hallways very often. #5. We were downstairs and people always walked their dogs right across our patio and potted right on the walls. #6. Parking was a serious problem we couldn't walk that hill all the time. #7. Columbus Estates was incredibly amazing in price-point, flexibility, and accommodations. It is PERFECT for my mom. She loves it and has even participated in the activities, which i didn't think she'd do.
