Dalton Square

A very nice facility. The patients all seemed happy and engaged in several different activities. The staff were friendly and the place had good security and emergency plans in place

It was a beautiful place. Well maintained and decorated. It is private pay only which is not an option for me right now.

Caring staff

They have a clean, nice facility staffed with caring people. The room size was fine. My wife was there for 9 days before I brought her back home. I spent 4-5 hours a day there with her during that time, so I got to observe quite a bit. For the residents whose dementia was mildest and didn't require that much one to one supervision it was probably near perfect. My wife was just the opposite and needed very close supervision, and there was just not enough staff for that.

Found! A great place for Dad

All of these categories are a 5! I am so grateful for A Place For Mom, I would never have found Dalton Square without them. The staff really seem to care, and even though my dad is difficult, they take great care of him. An example: dad coughs a lot when he eats and though he cannot help it, he is embarrassed by it. Many of his meals he eats in his apartment to not disturb others, but he feels lonely. Yesterday when his breakfast was brought to him, a number of the staff brought their breakfast in and they ate in …

Highly recommend

They are very kind. I wish they had more transportation available for small trips to restaurants. Mothers favorite activity is going out to lunch. They do take people to doctor's appts. They could improve on the food by adding more of a Mediterranean diet instead of so many carbs. My mom is a diabetic but even if you aren't too many carbs turn to sugar and there is terrible for people with dementia. I work in healthcare myself so I know what type of foods are offered in alfs. And there needs to be some changes.
