PositiveKeeping Dad in his home or caring for him in our homes just simply did not work. My sister and I decided, with the help of A Place For Mom, to explore a memory care assisted living for Dad. We couldn't be more pleased with our choice of Gardens of Statesville. They have went above and beyond to take care of Dad. Although any in home care or Assisted Living is costly, you really can't put a price on peace of mind from knowing Dad is safe and cared for.
★★★★★
PositiveStaff is very caring and will work very hard to care for family members. Very clean facility. Food was just okay in the memory care. I didn't observe any activities. Staff is very forthcoming with updates but for regular daily or weekly information you need to ask.
★★★★★
PositiveLove it! They have been great for my mom. Like the smaller group at the home. All the staff and administration have been wonderful to help with any questions. She loves the good, games and trips that they do.
★★★★★
PositiveWhat we like about the Gardens of Statesville is that they are small, friendly, helpful. We were in an emergency placement situation and they bent over backwards to help us. Never did I think my mom was someone filling a space. She was wanted and they wanted to help. Another place said they would take her but then did everything imaginable to prevent her from moving in even when they knew she was not safe at home. The residents at the Gardens are safe and loved, even when their dementia makes them behave in unlovab…

PositiveMy 92 year old mom has been there for a year. She feels seen and loved by the staff for the most part. She enjoys breakfast and dinner with her table mates. She opts out of lunch because she'd rather eat cookies for lunch. She crochets everyday and as a result doesn't take advantage of very many activities unfortunately. But the activity offerings seem nice. She's content there and loves her private room. The only thing preventing me from giving a 5 is that the price was raised a few months into her stay.
★★★★★
PositiveThe staff members were very attentive to my mom. They had great attitudes. We very much liked the staff to patient ratio.
