The area most in need of improvement is the staff. Based on my experience, the nursing staff and care aides did not show the compassion or attentiveness that seniors deserve. I witnessed this firsthand in the way my father, who had dementia, was treated during his stay. I also found the administrative staff to be lacking in transparency. After my father stayed at the facility for only seven days before we had to move him elsewhere, it took approximately six months to receive a refund for the unused portion of his …

Excellent communication with nursing staff, Jan especially. I don't hear any comments that the food is bad...I've seen the menu printed up for lunch and dinner so you know what is offered. I know they offer shopping trips bowling and inside activities like bingo and people play card games etc.

Fairmont is a very welcoming, family oriented community. The staff and residents are all friendly and supportive of each other. My mom enjoyed the food. My only concern was I felt more frequent check-ins during the night shift were needed in my Mom's case.
