CriticalVery rude and lazy staff. Extremely rude and dishonest manager. Bait and switch rooms left my mom at farthest end of hallway with male residents coming in her room and bathroom numerous times. Had to send pictures repeatedly of dirty bathroom and full laundry baskets numerous weeks. Finally started taking laundry home and doing it myself. Couldn't get her out of that place fast enough. Also, I forgot to mention that mom lost 20+ pounds in the few weeks we had her there - they failed so many times to come let her kn…

PositiveThe one negative that I would say is when someone needs additional care ...(i.e. wound care) it is not provided in-house. It is done through some version of a "home health" service and then that costs additional money. Once "home health" is called in, the Oakbrooke in house service for things such as PT or any additional "care" must then be done through the "home health" organization. This is NOT clearly disclosed up front and has been costly and definitely NOT convenient.

PositiveWe found the facilities very suitable for our loved one. Have chosen to place our loved one in Harmony at Oak Brook.

PositiveOverall great experience, even though it is a business people care, [name removed], [name removed] and [name removed] have been accommodating and truly listen to your needs. I would recommend them to others who are searching for a place for their loved one.

CriticalThe only person who was actually nice to deal with was the sales lady. Once we got in felt like we had been taken. Switched room from the one we were originally shown. They put her at the farthest from the nurses station which didn't really matter because no one was ever there anyway. Memory care had scary men walking into mom's room repeatedly all hours of the day and items repeatedly stolen. Laundry was never done unless we questioned it and then she didn't get linens and clothing back. Room and bathroom cleaning…

PositiveI thoroughly enjoyed the tour and every question I had was answered completely and clearly. I was so impressed I have not toured any other sites. [name removed] was even fun to be with. My only suggestion would be to enlarge and improve the library.
