Best in area

I liked the place overall but meal times weren't handled well. They'd bring one persons plate out at a time. Too much for the older folks to wait for their meals. All was good. She had a room by herself and it was expensive but very nice. The shared rooms were good but very tight for two people. The assisted living rooms were better sized for double occupants. Only major problem was how they served the residents in cafeteria.

Although she was in the independent living area, I was pleased with the response by the nurses office when she needed them.

Not as good as home but will do for mom right now

Meals need better planning. Some things are inedible for many of them. Need more balanced meals. They have a poor way of distributing the meals too. Leaving many with cold meals. I'd recommend over the others in immediate area. It was close by my home, which is why I picked this community.

Compared to other communities in the area the value for the money is great - our loved one has a really nice apartment with a bedroom, bathroom, living room and a small kitchen. The residents do not always have to participate in the activities but they have plenty of different things to do. We have already recommend John Knox Village to other families and we absolutely will continue to do so .
