Review for Kittay Senior Apartments

Originally it was a 4+ but the facility was sold and now I give the new owners a 3; they seem to be somewhat frugal. It's senior apts NOT assisted living, you need your own furniture.

Would not currently recommend

Kittay was better when my Mom moved in. Since then they have been sold to another management company, even though the closing hasn't happened yet, the new Jewish home has completely walked away from the facility, they let go of most administration personnel and it has gone down hill from there. Security is not good, the food is still horrible (luckily my Mom was able to buy some appliances to cook as there's no stove. Our experience was very enlightening, the director answered all our questions and even more. My so far is enjoying her stay and making friends. The staff are all great, the location is accessible, and the shopping area is in walking distance. We are thankful for A Place For Mom for their patients as we toured the facility and was pleased at what we have observed. Thank you for the experience and would recommend anyone who is interested in checking out the facilities to draw your own opinion.

Great option for Seniors

Kittay House is very nice, but it is independent living. there aren't any group or planned outings something that would make life a little more interesting. I have a good friend that lives there and the staff is helpful with her. I think the food is fine. Her living situation is fine but she's terribly lonely. They do have group activities such as outside entertainment that comes once in a while it's just that it would be nice to get out of the building for an excursion once in a while - a museum etc. I think The …

The staff has been extremely helpful and patient - from the very start when we were just inquiring about [name removed], to the multiple visits, to move in, to my father settling in.

Quality Senior Living. Must Check Out

The amenities in the garden level. The solarium, library and exercise room are a plus.
