CriticalThe community of people is what my parents love the most. They also do love their apartment.. nicely updated, spacious. The value is the most difficult to defend, especially when the food is so poor, the activities are rare or uninteresting, and then rent increases randomly (+$[removed]??) even when the kitchen staff is let go (one example).

They were flexible with move-in dates and switching rooms at the last minute even though an agreement had already been signed for the first room. We went up to a bigger size. Food in the dining hall has been good. It sounds like they may be under new ownership soon so we'll see what changes come about with that

CriticalWhen my mom first moved to Lakeview a year ago, she was mostly happy with the community. About a month after she moved in, the property changed ownership, several staff members left, and things changed. I think she sometimes wishes she had chosen a different community, but cannot afford to move at this point. although they offer transportation to appointments and the grocery store, they don't have enough room to accommodate everyone.
