I am a resident at this facility and I was surprised to find it rated so highly. The warm, friendly feeling goes away once you've lived here a bit but my biggest complaints are that the food is always overcooked and cold, and the director in charge never gives a straight response or does any follow through. Please fix this!!! I have heard the same complaints since the day i moved in!!!

All 5s except activities maybe a 4: more variety would be good or more field trips. What we like the most about Maplewood is the caring welcoming people (both staff and residents). Yes, we would recommend this community to other families!

The top administration changed in the beginning of the year. Changes were made. Lots of employees have left, other employees clearly not happy. Many new people there. You do not know who will be taking care of your loved one. Many are brand new...a changing of staff is confusing for those in memory care. Food is not served warm sometimes, my father has said everything is too bland. They do have many activities.

If you read over the website or take a tour the place sounds too good to be true and it is. What they sell in terms of care, assistance and programming vs what they actually deliver are VERY very different. If you start asking questions you will get bounced from one person to the next. The director of Nursing will tell you to talk to the memory care coordinator who will then say it's a clinical decision. round and round... Cleanliness...I would give them a 5...very clean...smells good. I would give them a 5...the aides...the nurses...even the house keeping always say hello. When it comes to the activities, my Dad doesn't do any. Price just went up [fee removed] a month.
