PositiveCompassionate care
It is very difficult to see the decline of my brother's mental state. But what I have seen here is that his Care has been great in that the caregivers really show compassion and caring for these residents. I know there is only so much that they can do when someone who has mental dementia goes through the stages of incontinence and cannot really care for themselves. But I know that he is in a safe place and that his physical health as well and we really appreciate everything that these caregivers do.

When my mom was there they had a male fellow patient that would lose his cool and hit other people, including my mom. They said they couldn’t do anything to stop him. They continued to bill my mom for meds after she was no longer there. They never reimbursed her. The staff were not caring and they were rude. They would wheel my mom into a corner away from everyone else and ignore her. The staff seemed to take pleasure in making my mom feel bad. That is a long story. We really found no one that cared. We went with them because the layout of building, it's one story-which we liked better, the staff we were introduced to (but I think they are a bit understaffed, honestly), the location ( easy to get to without having to sit in I35 traffic) and the facility grounds (they aren't surrounded by other buildings-they have some land, landscaping, a nice "outdoor " feel to enjoy. My father-in-law was only there a couple of weeks when he had a severe stroke and he hasn't moved back in. Follow-up with them hasn't been great…
