The people living there are the some of the most caring and supportive That's what keeps us there. The administration needs some guidance. I would recommend Merrill Gardens at Columbia. They are trying to fix the food issues. But most people don't care they get three meals a day and that's important. My mom arrived at 95lbs. She is up to 115. Positiveour families experience, overall a nice community, would recommend
It is great to be close to baseball field and other restaurants within walking distance. My mom is an active 90 year old that likes to walk the park. And we walk up to baseball game and publico restaurant. Active community

PositiveNice southern hospitality
Well lite dining & lobby gathering area. Open to the lower level. Wine hour @ 4 on Wed & Friday. Beauty shop, good sized gym, outside restaurant events, in unit laundry. Daily check in by residents & if not pressed by 11:00am Staff will enter the unit to check on resident. kitchen( stove dishwasher, sink, refrigerator. Maintenance in unit for a fee. Cleaner once a week included. 2 meals a day, open seating and an Elevator

PositiveMerrill Gardens at Columbia
She likes it but doesn't love it. It's pricey for what you receive. She does seem to be more active there and has church every Wednesday. The staff are 50/50 it depends on who you have working.

CriticalReview for Merrill Gardens at Columbia
As I said my mom went in for assisted living . She was not involved in any community . She stayed in her room . Ate by herself . She was left alone, she fell multiple times and broke her teeth and bones. It was not a good fit to say the least. The staff were not very attentive or kind. Except one nurse assistant. I don't think they knew what they were doing. It was not organized for an elderly client who needs assistance.
