I have gotten to know some of the staff so they favor my loved one, but the administration is horrible and so is the food. And even though I complain and my loved one , the head of the facility just doesn't seem to care. I like the homeliness of the facility but I have to visit constantly to make sure it's up to my standards. And thankfully. It could be a great facility with the right staff. As my son said, nothing will change as long as the boss doesn't care then why should the staff. Elderly care is very expensiv…

We are very pleased with Brookdale.Everyone here does their best to make our mother feel comfortable as she has to adjust to her new home.The staff is friendly to our family as we visit with our mother each week.We are usually here at lunch time and are asked if we would like to join her.The meals that we have eaten there were very good! Our family is pleased with the service and treatment our mother is receiving .Thanks for all y’all do!

The staff is friendly and the housekeeping is good and responsive. The move in process was excellent. My mother is generally displeased with the food. It is bland, overcooked and cheap. They probably need to invigorate the process by having featured meals. For example, Friday fish day, chicken Sunday, etc. Either way, they need to have condiments available for people who are not on a restricted diet and who would appreciate some savory food. Despite the food, I highly recommend Brookdale Columbia to others!
