Friendly Staff and Nice Facility

Small community that doesn't look institutional. Staff were very friendly and helpful to get dad settled and make him feel comfortable.

Sunrise of Paramus

The staff who work with the residents are lovely. They are very kind and do a good job. The facility is very clean and always decorated nicely for the holidays. My only comment is that I wish communication was sometimes better. It would be nice if they used email more often to discuss specific issues with a resident instead of us having to call. It's easier to keep track of things if there's an email chain. But otherwise we're very happy with the facility.

I took [Name Removed] to Sunrise of Paramus. They were very kind to[Name Removed]. They treated her to lunch.[Name Removed] showed us the model which she could have as her residence. She liked the room. She then walked around the facility and interacted with all the residences. She showed love with everyone. She had a lot of fun. It gives you a homey feeling when you walk in and each resident would get a good amount of attention.

Small and personal

So far everything has been great at Sunrise Paramus. And the senior who lives there is very happy. So I would be all of those categories a 5 except for food we would give a 4. It's a smaller assisted-living than the other ones we looked at and we feel that the staff knows every resident and they all interact very nicely. Every time I call, the phone is answered right away and they know who I am and who I'm calling about. They are very responsive and really on top of things
