Monarch Southbury, formerly known as Motif by Monarch, is located in the Southbury area, which is full of natural beauty, and our community makes the most of Mother Nature's finest. Located on Main Street South in Southbury, Connecticut, Motif is set against rolling green hills, with several gorgeous parks gracing the town. Our community has secure outdoor pathways and gardens so that residents can enjoy nature from the comfort of their apartments. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to senior care. We know that each of our residents is unique and that their care needs to be customized to fit their unique needs. That is why our staff members form genuine relationships with our residents, so they can best deliver the level of care residents need with the compassion and dignity they deserve. Joyful connection is at the root of wellness. That is why we are intentional about cultivating joyful connections at every turn. Our residents eat, learn, work out, and socialize with each other every single day. Our staff members learn who our residents are and celebrate their daily victories. CriticalNot the right fit.
She was not very happy there. She definitely didn't need that level of care. She continues to be very independent and didn't like not having her own kitchen to cook in. She also didn't like that the staff would randomly let themselves into her apartment without knocking and scare her. The independent living is not meeting expectations that were portrayed during the initial tour of the facility.

Our experience was good however my mom complains about everything. The food is horrible and not nutritious. (Which is not true) there's never enough staff CNA's or APRN's. Everyone hates it there. She's just angry she is there and not home.
