It was a beautiful facility and the woman who gave me the tour was very informative and kind. It had very many amenities that were great I felt that it had a warm atmosphere with very nice residents The flexibility in the meal plans and other options for food were really great The hiking trails and the surrounding areas were beautiful

Easiest Move.

Pomperaug Woods was very involved in making sure that my mom's move was as painless as possible. Now, over a month after her move, they are still checking on her to make sure things are going smoothly.

Best in class

The staff is all wonderful, very positive, and always helpful. They have a new Culinary Institute of America trained chef who has upped the menu. Apartments are great with new finishes (carpet, appliances etc) for every new incoming resident - there are several sizes available so you can pick whatever size suits you.

The staff really went above and beyond to make sure my mother was well taken care of during the whole entire process. From the initial interview through the move-in to the first couple of weeks and months of her living there, they really made sure she was OK and participating in the events. She really loves it there.

Even though my mother was only there for a month, and unfortunately her terminal cancer took its toll. I can't say enough about this establishment. Very Impressed

As an exercise teacher at several area senior living facilities, I have always been very impressed with Pomperaug Woods. PW feels warm, bright, and peaceful. However, as much as it feels peaceful, it is easy to see that it is a very vibrant community offering a wide range of activities to promote the well being of the residents mind, body and spirit such as a variety of exercise and art classes, shows, field trips...
