In general, we're happy with Navion. If I was talking to another family about moving their loved one there, I would say: (1) The biggest negative is the food. It's truly bad and it doesn't seem like they have much room -- budget or kitchen space -- to make it better. I'm supplementing my mom with Heathy Choice microwave meals, fresh fruit and salads. Review for Navion of New Bern

The entire staff is so friendly and they genuinely SEE the residents. I've noticed when visiting, not just how they treat my Dad but everyone. When touring other facilities, it sometimes seemed performative but I witness it on a day-to-day basis. . I am so grateful to a Place for Mom for helping me find this sanctuary for my Dad who is deserving of only good things.

This was a really nice facility. The tour guide was very informative and was willing to work within our budget the best she could. This is a place I would consider putting my mother. It was clean and the staff and the residents we spoke with were all very nice.

Our tour was guided by [Name Removed]., she was delightful. She was friendly, personable and informative, she took her time to explain the facility and everything it has to offer. The facility was clean and brightly lit; there were different room sizes to fit the needs of the residents and the courtyard was lovely. We left confident this would be a safe and happy environment for our mom.

Very Happy

Apartment sizes are good and configured well for the furniture folks need. Staff is professional, responsive and kind. Facility size is small, which suited my mom. Overall, well-maintained. Food is not good, but they are trying to improve. My mom has been there 3 weeks and is very happy.

Recommend but room for improvement

The staff seems engaged and enthusiastic to be there. I'd like to see extra serving hours for meals, particularly breakfast as their schedule doesn't accommodate late risers. Also, some formal way to request services beyond tracking down staff. Something as simple as a mailbox to accept service requests would help, or a list of email addresses for staff.
