About the community
Each resident and staff member is an integral part of our family. Our small size allows everyone to feel safe. Our atmosphere is similar to that of a large single family home where each resident has their own studio apartment. We offer 18 private studios and 1 companion studio, which can be home to a married couple, two best friends enjoying their golden years together or one person who would like a bit more space. We plan fun social opportunities to enhance our residents' health and well-being.

CriticalI would not recommend this place for someone who can't speak up for themselves. My mom has fallen twice and was left unattended for almost three hours. She is supposed to be toileted every two hours and they don't do it as often as they're supposed to. I'm so grateful my son and sister put a camera in her room. [name removed], [name removed] and one other daytime lady, can't remember her name, are awesome ??. The place is clean and the room isn't that big, but it's all she needs.

CriticalStaff is friendly and overall did a great job. But my wife needed more of a one on one assistant. It seem to be understaffed .

CriticalTour was good, brought mom for a meal prior to moving in, food was good;salad and spaghetti. Move in nightmares: Menu, non existent, nor posted. Mom and others have been fed frozen fish patties and undercooked French fries twice in 1 wk, frozen pizza for dinner 2x in 1 week, mid day snacks; go to the "snack basket" which it's memory care; residents won't remember. Some kind of koolaid/juice is beverage served each meal. No milk unless I was there to request it. No water, paper plates & cups for serving food/ drin…

CriticalThis is difficult. The Landings managed the facility when my husband moved in. I would have scored them high on all categories. Since Northern Oaks took over I have been considering moving my husband even though that would extremely difficult for him. I know there is a labor shortage but the management has made so many procedural changes that are affecting the care of the residents. The best caregivers have left. There are usually only two people on duty and frequently one of them is the cook. The caregivers are st…

PositiveWe had a good tour and I really liked the facility, it was just not the right fit for my mom. There were no activities and it seemed dark with not a lot of community space. I think it would be a great fit for individuals who liked to spend more time in their room rather than out and about with others.

CriticalThe worst facility for clients. They keep changing there website. Not once did I witnessany outings, picnics, on-site musicians, excerising, etc… There is no spa or salon it is a closet with no ventilation. No employees stay, or wear name tags. What red carpet treatment ??? Pricing leave seniors with no money left over at months end which is against Anoka county standards. They are now hiding behind a “place for mom”, “jaybird management”, which all 3 places have very low reviews. Run as fast as you can everything…
