Conveniently located in Escondido, California, the cozy cottages and apartments of Redwood Terrace offer a welcoming neighborhood atmosphere. As a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), we accommodate our resident’s needs at any life stage. We offer several housing types for assisted living, independent living, and memory care needs across a range of budgets. As a member of Human Good, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality living options and support services to seniors, we take great pride in the community we’ve created here. We foster an environment that encourages an independent, maintenance-free lifestyle, so residents can focus on their health, friendships, and personal growth. Community Amenities and Services After years of tending to a home and family, residents will find that they can relax and enjoy life in a whole new way here at Redwood Terrace. We keep a very dynamic, extensive roster of activities and events for all to enjoy. By taking care of daily chores and home maintenance, we also help ensure residents have the time to pursue their passion and even explore new ones. Our professional, accommodating staff is available around the clock for personal and medical caregiving needs. Our care services address a multitude of non-medical service needs, such as medication management, assistance with daily activities, and ambulatory care among other services. Because we offer a continuum of care all in one place, you have access to higher levels of care, should you ever need them. Living Arrangements We offer one- and two-bedroom apartments and cottages, as well as studios and semi-private rooms. We are very passionate about giving residents a place to build a rich, purposeful life, and we do so by embodying the Life Plan Community model fully. Care Types Offered Redwood Terrace is a residential care facility for the elderly (RCFE) with a continuing care contract . In the state of California, these terms are defined as follows: Residential Care Facility for the Elderly A housing arrangement for persons 60 years or older where supervision and personal care is provided based on the needs of the residents. These facilities are also known as assisted living facilities and board and care facilities. A residential care facility may provide care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer’s. Continuing Care Contract A residential care facility for the elderly that has a contract to allow them to provide nursing services.
