About Sterling Oaks Assisted Living Memory Care

Sterling Oaks Assisted Living Memory Care is located southeast of Houston, in the quiet residential community of Friendswood, Texas where residents are inspired and encouraged to live life to the fullest. We provide assisted living memory care for those with dementia including Alzheimer’s. Care is based on a person-centered approach by blending service with independence and autonomy. We tailor services to meet the unique social, emotional, physical and health needs for each resident. Our daily interactions and activities are designed to engage the mind, encourage interest, and strengthen the physical body and spirt. With gentle guidance and visual reminders, our community is set up for safe engagement while providing the opportunity to use meaningful life skills and talents, such as art, gardening, and music. The community looks and feels just like home with private resident rooms, multiple common areas and dining rooms, a “home office”, a sunroom, a craft and game room, and outdoor space including a covered patio and raised gardening area. The entire facility is wheelchair accessible indoor and out. Onsite medical care including dental, podiatry, home health and hospice care providing services like, IV therapy, wound care and ostomy care. At the resident’s request we assist with arranging on or offsite beauty services, religious services, and group counseling. Our care team is specially trained and receive ongoing education on all forms of dementia including Alzheimer’s, medication management, and overall care for the elderly. Our team encourages a sense of belonging, purpose and identity for every resident. We have a registered nurse available and admission are accepted 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
